I Don’t

November 9, 2009 by jbiii

Smoke dope.

30 years ago it made me sleepy right away. Beer is much more mangeable, and nutritious, too. Besides, the donut grazers tend to stay away if they don’t think you toke.

But government protecting me? Oh, please–the bastids in office protect their own interests. I, and other citizens, are merely coincidental beneficiaries.

I have said before that GB is a 20 year advanced mirror of what we are becoming.

This is a perfect example of the nanny state.

Coming to a country in which you live . . . soon.

Speaking of dope–this foooking idiot forgets which party demonized marijuana.

Icepick, please.

Back From the Mines

November 8, 2009 by jbiii

Long day–own your own business, you not only hate politicians for all their tax crap, but you just get flipping tired at the end of the day.

I don’t normally get into extended discussion on other sites–the preconceived notions of other folks is certainly more than I can handle, and NO ONE else does any better, despite their pretenses.

But last night, I went here, and got into a bit of an extended discussion. You can read what I wrote and the others wrote in response.

Needless to say, I ran into screaming libs who would kiss Putin’s marxist ass, or conservatives who keep thinking that if they only find the right person to do WHAT THEY SHOULD do, all will be well.

Nothing is well.

If Hypo really wants an answer, he needs to quit searching for the perfect politician who will lead him to the promised land, and begin looking for the real options to the systemic failure of the American Constitution, as matters have played out–I mean–Dude–220 years and it’s only gotten worse. When do you say . . .

“Enough! This shit ain’t working!”

Anyway–I washed my hands of it all with this posting today . . .

November 8th, 2009 | 1:28 pm | #259

Hype–

Since your insight is so incisive, perhaps you should go back to my site and read everything.

You, like me, have no solution to what has just occurred. Health care reform is just another cog in the liberal machine. I fought it at the ballot box for years, to no avail. I gave that false avenue up years ago, because nothing has stopped the onslaught of government.

Congress has never made such a power grab as this? What with Social Security, Medicaid, Medicare, welfare, food stamps, the bailouts from last year . . . everybody decries that the health care bill (which is by no means assured–the Senate has its work to do), will gobble up 15-17% of the economy. Dude–the gummint ALREADY taxes the economy on the whole at nearly 50%–and in 1913 they farmed out “money” to private banks, and then refuse to even permit “the peeps” to see what they are doing.

I said it last night and on my blog–this is systemic failure, not merely the matter of electing just the right people. The impetus for the founding of this nation was not in its leaders or who “we” elected.

It was FREEDOM. And that is what everyone was missing as I poked and probed last night.

Government, and “leaders” produce nothing. NOTHING! And once the “peeps” finally get that firmly stuck in their skulls, then the really critical questions will be asked, and perhaps, answered.

It’s been 5 hours, and nary a response. There is none.

And that is the tragedy of it all. I repeat–“Insanity is trying the same thing over and over again, but expecting a different result.” It would seem the bruises and lumps on the forehead from continually running into the brick wall would make a semblance of an impression.

Keeping Score

208-205 . . .

213-209 . . .

215-209 . . .

216-210 . . .

Goodnight, America
How are ya?
Say don’t ya know me
I’m you’re native son . . .

Cao (R-LA) went for it. And at least three liars from the Dems who promised to oppose it.

Sit and Watch

November 7, 2009 by jbiii

Amazing.

You can fill in whatever blanks you wish, but I am astounded at how all the normally rational authors of sites that daily excoriate the MSM–now suddenly believe the MSM without the first question . . . and there are many to ask.

Not worth my effort–the fix is in.

Truth is relative, and those who decry that most, are often most guilty of holding that view.

Steny

November 6, 2009 by jbiii

Hoyer sought to pin the blame for any possible slippage on delaying tactics expected from Republicans, who unanimously oppose the health care remake. But he acknowledged that Democrats are still short of the 218 votes they need to pass the bill.

Look, Dude–when you can’t Cottonelle your own party’s rectum, don’t complain about the opponent having an odor you don’t like.

Translation: Quit blaming your shyte on somebody else! Your own party knows what kind of crap the health bill is, and you, trying to blame someone else, at this point, strains the boundaries of the meaning of sophistry.

I.e.–you’re just being dumb-ass stupid. But in saying that, I actually may be giving you credit.

My bad.

FTR: Sports Fans–the Dems are comparing this to auto insurance–i.e.–mandatory. But if I don’t own a car–then I don’t have to buy insurance. If I am willing to go without a car and trust my health better to myself than I do gummint, then the analogy self-destructs.

The only thing funnier than politicians is that most folks actually believe them.

Off to the mines, before I pull out the icepick.

I Am Convinced

November 6, 2009 by jbiii

That few people read what they write.

It hurts the brain to read what most write–if they actually believe what they write.

I am directing this to someone in particular–I appreciate your kudos, but–please read what you wrote. When your contradictions hit home, feel free to respond.

Porridge Again? – Part II

November 6, 2009 by jbiii

I got asked the other day if it bothered me that I rarely get comments to this blog.

The short answer? No. The long answer? No, again.

A bit of history–I had a blog a number of years ago. It got some pretty good recognition–articles linked, getting blog-rolled–all of that. Fun while it lasted, but other, more important aspects of my life intervened and I let it drop into obscurity. Also–I discovered back then that most folks can never see anything past their own self-imposed, and most times, limited horizon.

This blog is for me. I could care less if no one reads it, although I have had a number of very thoughtful, and insightful responses–usually by e-mail. But I am not in the mainstream–never intended to be, if you read my header.

I write for me–this is my sounding board. If someone agrees and writes back–coolio. If they disagree, and write back–coolio. If they ignore me–coolio. I don’t have a dog in the whole “be somebody in the blogosphere” hunt.

My analogy in the previous post fits well. The MSM and the two political parties have fed us porridge (pablum is more like it) for decades. The MSM still dances around facts, and the national debt won’t fit on most pocket calculators.

I do not see, in any way, a good ending to where America is heading, and honest to God, the GOP is just moving a tad bit slower toward our apocalypse than are the Dems. It is only a matter of degree, not true substance.

That usually gets me toasted if I comment on “conservative” sites, where most are neither conservative nor insightful.” I really don’t care–never pick a fight with a drunk and never argue with a fool. Words to live by. BTW, liberal sites are like the descent into hell.

Where am I politically? You figure it out–I already know, have been (t)here for over 20 years (after trying out both the Dem porridge and the GOP porridge–they tasted pretty much the same). I have my “icepick” moments–chronicled in earlier posts, but I am rapidly approaching that point–in age and intellect, where nothing people do or think surprises me anymore. There is a common progression of behavior in their thinking, and I have lived long enough to recognize the patterns many times over. I’d write a book, but most would start to arguing so vociferously that they’d miss the main point . . . which is–

Most folks are so busy “thinking for themselves” that they fail to think. They cannot ally their thinking with what is deep inside all of us–that mostly unspoken desire . . .

To be a truly free man.

Porridge Again?

November 6, 2009 by jbiii

Ah, but it’s today’s porridge, so be at ease.

I have been reading all sorts of editorial fallout over the recent NY23/Hoffman/3rd party affair. I am not going to link anyone in this post–I’ve written enough myself, and the online pundits and MSM have tortured the issue virtually to death.

Advocates on both sides of the aisle defend the two-party system as if their lives depended on it–which they do–politically and financially (or vice-versa). They cite practicality–in that the two-party system allows quicker absorption of new ideas than the failed efforts of 3rd parties could accomplish (yeah–Ron Paul would have to live to be 400 years old before the GOP decided true, limited government really would work, but I digress). They also use historical precedent, saying that we’ve always had, with only a few notable exceptions, a two-party system. That is true.

It is also true that if you pile turds in the same place for 200+ years, you’re likely to have a pretty large pile of turds.

I would add only one thing to my “New Texas” response posting several days ago . . .

Gummint is a perpetual pest. It won’t go away–there are just a certain number of people out there who feel the need to tell everyone else how to live and what to do. It is human nature, but in politics, it is at its worst, because they do so by extorting personal property and the financial fruit of labor. And that proceeds from the confiscation of personal property by the local police–even if you are innocent, to the horrendous extortion of the IRS and other federal taxes.

How do you neuter the beast? Elect just another “just the right guy or gal?” To hearken back to those who cite precedent–we’ve been doing that for 200+ years and we are still dealing with gummint’s power and financial grabs. The turd pile gets higher still.

I like my “New Texas” response–a lot. As I said, I would only add one thing . . .

Outlaw political parties. If we must deal with the idiots, let them stand for what they themselves stand for, rather than hiding behind party and the like.

Of course, to those who trudge lemming-like to the voting booth whenever gummint goes through the motions of democracy and calls another election or referendum, the shock of the sudden lack of political parties will be like a smoker trying to give up the habit.

But as a smoker, I found giving up on political parties much easier, and infinitely more satisfying. Besides, a 20 foot long breakfast buffet table is much more inviting, and tasty, than a bowl of . . .

Porridge.

I Promised . . .

Myself. Next time–watch it all unfold, and in what direction, and with what accompanying “music”–so to speak.

It is amazing. These guys are really, really good.

Paging Al Gore!

Who’da thunk it?

Well, all of those scientists who didn’t have a finger in the financial or political pie of the whole carbon tax and trade scheme . . .

Read it all–it is stunning in its simplicity.

Not So New Lesson

November 6, 2009 by jbiii

Never go right of anyone on the right; never be more conservative than conservatives.

I believe Rush has remarked on things to that end.

An important lesson for anyone who might consider first the Constitution, rather than populist movements.

But . . . it’ll all . . . in the end. :-)

Fort Hood

November 5, 2009 by jbiii

Major Malik Nadal Hasan . . . convert. Correction–lifelong.

I don’t have to guess on this one. Wait for the pix and see.

Look for more. And – here it is.

This is very strange. I don’t think we’ve heard the last of this one.

*****

Following through, which most I read are not doing, I have read 200+ articles and reports online in the last 18 hours. If you do the same, you will find, I believe, contradictions galore to the official story.

This whole affair isn’t passing the smell test.

****

Further comment: There is nothing that jibes in this story whatsoever. It is like reading the Warren Report. Did you watch the base commander hearsay matters? There are so many contradictory stories from those on the scene. One emerging story seems to take possession of all the facts, but I am certain no one will “get” that one.

The truth is, most often, the biggest conspiracy theory.

Bill Ockham is growing a beard. All of his razors are dull.

Jam? Or Just Butter?

November 5, 2009 by jbiii

Next year this time? I shudder to think of it.

Last year this time I had four icepicks imbedded in my head, watching the Bammster-Mania sweep the land. Normal, rational human beings suiciding their rationality to a marxist.

This year, I even had the treat of watching a supposed conservative leader try to extract his head from his ass on national TV. It was “newt” a pretty sight.

That’s how it happens, and has been happening, for a long time. The worst of it (I could go way back, but …) I take it back to the first Hooooosevelt, Woody the Row, and the cousin of the first Hooooosevelt. The institutions (IRS, the Fed, intrusive gummint agencies) they set in motion, laws upon laws upon laws written and regulated and chipping away at fundamental rights; the debt they blithely racked up, and then the wars . . .

Now, even thinking is damn near a hate crime.

There’s a whole lot more, but so many prejudices and preconceived notions exist that to go there isn’t worth the effort.

I am not giving up, I (and the rest of us) have been given up. I’ll snipe from the sidelines as it all goes down, but it is all going down. We’re just playing out the string. It might take another 20 years, when the finances tank so badly that there is nothing left for a politician to steal and offer, but the abominations about to pass–health care and cap & trade, are the final financial nails in the coffin. The additional “stimulus funds” will be superfluous.

What would you like on your toast?

P.S. I find it amusing the WordPress’ spell check does not recognize “marxist” as a word. Funny, in a very sad way.

Never Borrow

November 5, 2009 by jbiii

This blooming idiot stuffs both of his own feet into his mouth, and apparently borrowed one of Oxygen Joe Biden’s feet as well.

With this embarrassment on their hands, how does anyone on the left have time to go after Palin?

Political Head Cold

November 4, 2009 by jbiii

That stuffy sinuses, clogged brain heaviness . . . makes you wanna die sorta feeling?

Watching this adulation, adoration, damn near fan worship etc., of those that folks want to “elect” to order them around in their lives, physically hurts.

I want to ask if they ever have a lucid moment and ask themselves “WTF am I doing?”

I turned off the radio while in the mines today. I am avoiding every political site for fear that the BS will spill out of my puter screen and ruin my keyboard.

And to top off all of last night’s nonsense and today’s commentary, the Yanks are toasting Pedro and the Phils thus far.

Fortunately, there was a small vein of gold in the mines today. Makes dealing with all of the ruling class pontificating today a tad more tolerable.

Just a tad.

Gentleman, Start Your Engines

November 4, 2009 by jbiii

Jesse Ventura was a political anomaly. He was all over the map politically, and went to a whole lot of places I don’t want to go, but he just toasted King, Stein, and Carville.

Read the whole text or listen to the video.

The knock-out punch comes at the end. Look for King, Stein and Carville to have a Gorbachev-like bruise on their foreheads for the next few days.

Off to the mines, Sports Fans.

Tea Partiers?

November 3, 2009 by jbiii

Nah–already the GOP is trying to co-opt the whole movement. That sucks, because the GOP is as clueless as the Dems.

Maybe we should call them the POP’s!

Pissed off Peeps! I sit in total amazement at what my country of birth has become, and how many, even this very day, will go back to the same of failed methods, expecting a different result. I’ve got a bit of history on my old backside–

It didn’t happen in ‘80 or ‘84, despite the Gip’s tries. “88 was a “read my lips” bust; ‘94 got swallowed by Newt’s dillying and dallying–but while the GOP got charge, they proved themselves every bit as adept at taking our money as were the Dems. The Bushes liked big wars and big pronouncements, and now we’re stuck with a rank amateur in La Blanca Casa turning over tomato soup cans to read their expiration dates, while The Botox Babe (Nancy) and Ole Grumpy (Harry) are gunning for 18% of the economy.

The Peeps are pissed, and trying to spin it to one party’s advantage or the other is ingenuous. We are damn sick and tired of politicians who flat out lie, banks and major corporations who commit financial fellatio to get gummint dollars, while we are left with the payment due statement.

But you should go out and vote for one of them anyway–that’s your duty.

Icepick, please.

Exactly!

November 3, 2009 by jbiii

Beck, as always . . .

“This is a crucial intersection of ethics (the value of collectives over individuals) and politics (social organization, unilaterally coercive in this case).”

But be sure to VOTE. Put an “X” next to George III.
